Romanian Journal of Petroleum & Gas Technology (pISSN 2734–5319; ISSN-L 2734–5319; eISSN 2972–0370) continues the long tradition established by the old periodicals of the Petroleum-Gas University, with the first issue appearing in the year 1956, in Bucharest, and continuing in Ploiesti since 1973, and especially Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti Bulletin – Technical Series (ISSN 1224-8495) (1992-2019), whose successor it is.
The Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti Bulletin – Technical Series has been acknowledged as a top academic journal by Romania’s National Council for Higher Education Research (CNCSIS) which ranked our journal in the C category in its first Romanian scientific journals classification list in 2005, position maintained also in 2006.
In the year 2007 and starting with 2009, the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti Bulletin – Technical Series has been ranked as a CNCSIS B+ publication (ranked B in 2008). In addition, starting with 2009, the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti Bulletin – Technical Series was included in the prestigious EBSCO database (https://www.ebsco.com/m/ee/Marketing/titleLists/a9h-journals.htm). Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti Bulletin – Technical Series was also included in both national international exchange programs being transmitted to many Universities with technical faculties from Romania and abroad.

All full papers submitted to the Romanian Journal of Petroleum & Gas Technology will be evaluated using a double-blind review process and after their acceptance, the papers will be published in the Journal with a DOI number assigned.
